Résumé : | Work-based learning (WBL) has been high on the policy agenda of the European Commission for many years. Given the priority attributed to work-based learning in vocational education and training (VET) across the EU, the Commission is currently exploring different options for supporting its further development and tracking progress in this field. One of the options is the development of indicators or a benchmark to monitor workbased learning in formal VET. This report provides evidence in support of this process. After elaborating the main definitions relevant to the work-based learning domain, it presents an overview of the main data sources currently available to monitor country performance in WBL. It also provides an assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of the sources that could underpin a possible indicator or benchmark on workbased learning.(source: report) |
