Résumé : | Despite the important role of institutions in fostering entrepreneurial activity, the existing cognitive models predicting entrepreneurial behavior are restricted to the influence of informal institutions. Moving beyond this effect, the present study tackles entrepreneurial behavior through the lenses of both formal and informal institutional-based perspectives. Using a large sample of 805 business students from two distinct settings, France and Tunisia, this study reveals that the drivers of entrepreneurial intention are shaped by regulatory, normative, and cognitive dimensions, hence explaining the disparities in entrepreneurial behavior across the two countries. The findings hold important implications for both theory and practice. |
