This publication reports on various human resource development indicators in Korea for 2017. The indicators are presented under the following headings: Employment; Lifelong vocational education and industry-academia cooperation; Vocational education and training (VET); Career education; and Qualification. The main indicators include: Employment and unemployment rates; Employment rates by age; Average monthly wage; Youth labour force participation rate and unemployment rate; International comparison of total employment rate; Number of students per lecturer; Employment of graduates from higher education institutes; Participation in lifelong education; Operation of field practice; Education and training participation of paid workers; VET expenditures of companies; Implementation of VET projects; Conditions for implementing career education in schools; Career experience activities in schools; Desired career paths among students; and Student career development capacity levels.
