Résumé : | The number of jobs provided by the metalworking industries are bound to decrease during the next few years in France. This sector will nevertheless be faced with workforce replacement problems because large numbers of employees are due to retire shortly. To prepare for these changes, it has become necessary to assess the number of jobs which will have to be filled and the qualifications to which they correspond. In this context, the fact that employees' qualification levels have been increasing during the last few years raises questions about the relevance of modes of human resource management which tend to increase the gap between training and employment. |
